The current global energy crisis is a complex issue with an ever-increasing demand for energy and limited resources.
AOSIS Scholarly Books invites established and emerging scholars and researchers to submit book proposals that address the energy crisis by focusing on UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goals 7 and 9, offering in-depth analysis of the issues that underpin this multifaceted problem and providing practical and scalable solutions. We welcome diverse and innovative book proposals focusing on perspectives and solutions based on sound research and data for scholarly monographs or edited collections that aim to address and solve the energy crisis. Your scholarly book proposals will lay the foundation for accomplishing UNESCO’s Agenda for Sustainable Development by 2030.
UNESCO’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development are a blueprint for creating a better future for all. In line with SDG 7 and SDG 9, universal access to affordable, renewable energy must be achieved by constructing a modern, clean energy infrastructure in the Global South and providing energy-efficient production and delivery technologies by 2030. These initiatives aim at supporting inclusive and sustainable industrialisation through innovation and international energy cooperation. Scholars’ and researchers’ insights, expertise and innovations are vital to achieving this global agenda of creating a sustainable future through action.
