The Journal of the Colleges of Medicine South Africa (JCMSA) is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Editor to join the JCMSA editorial team. The Deputy Editor, together with the editor-in-chief (EIC), will lead the JCMSA’s strategy, manuscript management, and new initiatives; promote and advance the journal; and steer the new author-assist program.
JCMSA is the official journal of the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa and seeks to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed manuscripts relevant to all areas of specialist medicine and dentistry. The ideal candidate will have prior journal experience as an associate, assistant, section, or chief editor.
The Deputy Editor role is an initial two-year commitment, with the option of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and approval by the Journal Oversight Committee.
