Transformation in Higher Education journal seeks Associate Editor
Transformation in Higher Education is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve an initial five-year term as the Associate Editors of its peer-reviewed scholarly journal to help support the operation and future development of the journal.
Transformation in Higher Education is an international, transdisciplinary journal. To enhance its multidisciplinary nature, editors must come from different disciplines. At present, the editor-in-chief is from the Education discipline, and therefore the journal requires associate editors from various disciplines. This will enable the journal to adequately develop the journal in terms of its focus and scope.
As indicated on the journal website thejournal.org the journal seeks original contributions that reflect upon and theorise transformation in higher education in all its different nuances. It aims to disseminate high impact, evidence-based research across disciplines in higher education that could ultimately support high level learning, teaching, and research. Therefore, transdisciplinary engagements that address contemporary issues in higher education contexts will receive preference. Conceptual-philosophical and empirical works addressing matters that could lead to the intellectual advancement in higher education as discipline and context are welcomed. This journal and its publications are of interest to academics and a wide range of professionals associated with Higher Education institutions, both nationally and internationally.
This post offers interested individuals the opportunity to help coordinate article peer review and help steer an established and respected journal to a successful future. We are looking for motivated and committed individuals who will work with the Editor-in-Chief, Professor Shan Simmonds, and the publisher (AOSIS) to achieve and deliver a vision for the journal over the next five years.
The appointment will be for five years with the potential of renewal for a further period as per the Editorial Policy.
Formal applications should be emailed on or before 24 May 2023 to: shan.simmonds@nwu.ac.za. Any questions can also be directed to Professor Simmonds at this email address.
