We invite authors to contribute their latest research to the Journal of Underutilised Research Crops which is now opn for submissions, a brand new scholarly journal published by AOSIS.
Focus and scope
The Journal of Underutilised Crops Research is a peer-reviewed online journal that aims to publish high-quality articles promoting research on indigenous, neglected, and underutilised crops. It will cover topics that aim to improve and expand knowledge on aspects related to:
- crop production
- genetics and breeding
- pre- and postharvest management
- integrated pest management
- value chains and socio-cultural dynamics
- resource protection and indigenous knowledge systems
- food security, and sustainability (social, environmental, and economic).
How to submit your manuscript
To contribute your latest research findings to this publication, please visit underutilisedcrops.org. Authors can conveniently submit all manuscripts online. Please refer to the submission procedure when submitting your original manuscripts. The submission guidelines include information about the types of articles received for publication and preparing a manuscript for submission.
Journal of Underutilised Crops Research open for submissions. Article Processing Charges
The journal has a sponsorship agreement with the publisher for the purpose of funding qualifying manuscripts’ APC fees. Peer-review Policy
The journal has a double-blinded peer review process. Manuscripts that fit the scope of the journal and that is of high quality are initially examined by editorial staff and are sent by the Editor-in-Chief to two independent, expert reviewers. Read our full peer review process.
Publication frequency
The journal publishes one volume each year. Articles are published online when ready for publication and then printed in an end-of-year compilation. Additional collections may be published for special events (e.g. conferences) and when special themes are addressed.
