New to AOSIS’s journal portfolio: ‘Journal of Public Health in Africa’
New to AOSIS’s journal portfolio: Journal of Public Health in Africa
We are excited to announce that AOSIS is now the publisher of the Journal of Public Health in Africa (JPHIA). This open-access journal is owned by the Africa CDC, which, together with a publisher situated on African soil, aims to promote African scholarship by publishing and distributing a high-quality JPHIA that will contribute to the strengthening of the continent’s public health.
We are looking forward to welcoming the JPHIA community – whether editorial board or team members, reviewers, or authors (or any combination of these roles!) – to the broader AOSIS community of researching peers. And, of course, to all the readers of JPHIA: rest assured that the journal is still open-access, meaning that you can freely use content published in the journal without the permission of the authors or the journal, as long as you cite the original source.
Even though there will be some changes to the way it looks and works, the journal’s web address is the same as before: www.publichealthinafrica.org. Feel free to get to know JPHIA’s new website and get in touch should you have any queries.
About the journal
The Journal of Public Health in Africa is a peer-reviewed, academic journal that focuses on health issues in the African continent. The journal editors seek high quality original articles on public health-related issues, reviews, comments and more. The aim of the journal is to move public health discourse from the background to the forefront. The success of Africa’s struggle against disease depends on public health approaches.
