The Journal of Media and Rights has published its inaugural editorial
We are pleased to announce that the newly launched Journal of Media and Rights (JMR) is now open to accept submissions of original research linking media scholarship with rights-based scholarship. JMR encourages practice-based and practice-led researchers to submit to the journal as it will actively provide a space for such research to be showcased and discussed.
For more information on the focus and scope of the journal, please visit the website here or read the inaugural editorial at the following link.
Submissions can be made for considerations in the following two ways:
- Full articles can be submitted via the journal’s website.
- Abstracts of 300–500 words can be sent to Dr Loader (editor@journalmediarights.org) by 18 December 2023. Soon afterwards, selected authors will be invited to submit their completed articles by 30 April 2024 for the peer review process (publication: August 2024).
For any specific questions, please contact the journal’s editor, Dr Reina-Marie Loader, at editor@journalmediarights.org.
Join us in this video as Editor-in-Chief, Dr Reina-Marie Loader, provides an in-depth discussion about the focus and scope of the open-access Journal of Media and Rights (JMR).
Submit your manuscript
We invite authors to contribute their latest research findings towards this publication. Authors can conveniently submit their manuscript online at journalmediarights.org. Please refer to the submission procedure when submitting your original manuscripts. The submission guidelines include information about the types of articles received for publication and preparing a manuscript for submission. Other relevant information includes the journal’s policies and the reviewing guidelines.
Article processing charges
All our readers and authors enjoy the benefits of free open access. We believe that open access of the journal promotes accessibility and uptake worldwide, serving the best interests of the professional and scientific community and the public at large. Since no fees are charged for access, AOSIS offsets the publication expenses – including those of peer review management, journal production and online hosting and archiving – by charging Article Processing Charges (APC), also known as page fees, to authors, institutions or funders for each article published.
