About the AOSIS published book: The 4IR and teacher education in South Africa: Contemporary discourses and empirical evidence
The 4 IR is a contemporary ideology which seeks to disrupt the total way we live and relate to one another. In Teacher Education, which this book is about, we examine a wide range of topics including the affordances and constraints associated with the 4 IR, the range of strategies that can be deployed to adopt and adapt to the 4 IR, the great technological and digital divides which divide our communities in society and more particularly in Higher Education.
The book provides both theoretical and practical perspectives to explain the meanings and applications of the 4 IR in Higher Education and will also be valuable to policy makers across the sectors.
