October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in South Africa. A nationwide drive by public and private healthcare structures helps raise awareness of this disease across all races and class structures. With healthcare forming an integral part of South Africa’s National Development Plan (NDP), South Africans must be informed about ensuring their well-being and that of those for whom they are responsible.
