The South African Journal of Economic and Management Sciences (SAJEMS), published by AOSIS, is seeking two Associate Editors with expertise in economics and areas aligned with the journal’s focus and scope to join its Editorial Team. International applicants are welcome.

Associate Editors (AEs) are crucial in peer-reviewed publishing, supporting the journal Editor as subject experts. Responsibilities include overseeing manuscripts, guiding them through review and revision, assessing quality, soliciting peer reviews, requesting revisions, and recommending acceptance or rejection to the Editor.
Responsibilities (but not limited to) for vacancies for Associate Editors of the South African Journal of Economic and Management Sciences include:
- Managing the review process: Collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief to ensure smooth manuscript progression, maintaining high standards and timely publication.
- Collaboration: Work with the Journal Editor and Editor-in-Chief to select reviewers, evaluate reviews, assess manuscripts, and communicate with authors about revisions.
- Serving on the Editorial Board: Contribute to upholding standards, discussing journal policies, and shaping the journal’s scope and direction.
