Getting started with your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) journey shouldn’t be complicated. At eCPD® Healthcare, the registration process for acquiring CPD points is designed to be quick, simple, and user-friendly – so you can focus on what really matters: earning your CPD points and advancing your professional knowledge.

Step-by-step registration process for acquiring CPD points

1. Visit the eCPD® Healthcare website
Registration is free, just navigate to the “Log in/Register” button on the top right corner of the dashboard page. The page displays two sections: log in at the top, or register below. Click ‘Register for FREE’ to continue.

2. Create your login credentials
Your username should consist of lowercase letters only. Choose a secure password and confirm you are using a working email address.

3. Complete the registration form
Fill in your personal and professional information accurately and make sure that all the required fields are completed. Also make sure to mark that you read our Privacy Statement and Site Policy agreement before you select to create your account.

4. Verify your account
You will receive an email with a link to confirm your registration, please be sure to check your spam/junk folders if you do not see the email.

5. Log in and get started
Once registered, you can log in and purchase your desired membership by either clicking on the “Purchase Membership” button on the right side of the dashboard screen or visiting the membership pricing page.

What to do if you belong to more than one Professional Registration Board

Our platform allows you include more than one registration nr on one profile, making it convenient and cost effective for you to earn your CPD points.

Simply select your first registration nr’s prefix from the drop-down options offered and then put in the numerals of your registration number in the given block without the prefix, followed by your second registration nr, prefix included, separating the two with a dash symbol (/).

This allows CPD points earned on one profile to count towards both registrations. It saves you money and time as you would not have to purchase two separate memberships or complete separate activities.

Purchase your preferred membership

Once you have successfully registered and logged into your profile, you will have to purchase a membership in order to start enrolling into express courses and earn CPD points.

We offer the following membership options:

• 6-month HPCSA/AHPCSA Membership
• 12-month HPCSA/AHPCSA Membership
• 12-month Nursing Membership

You can complete as many Express courses as you require during your membership period. Your membership will be active for 6 or 12 months from the date of purchase, depending on what option you chose. Have a look at eCPD® Healthcare: Membership Pricing to view our prices.

Our specialised courses are not included in the membership and are priced individually. To view their prices, please click on each course.

Important things to keep in mind

• Accuracy is key: Ensure all details, especially your professional registration number, are correct to avoid issues with submitting your CPD points to your professional body.
• Keep your login details safe: Your account stores your CPD records – protect it. If you are unable to remember your log in details, please do not register a new profile, simply choose the “Forgotten password” option or reach out to support@ecpd.co.za if that does not work either.
• Accept the Cookies notice: Please be sure to accept the cookies notice in the bottom left corner before logging into your profile, failing to do so will cause you to be unable to log in.
• Track your progress: Use your CPD manager to store all your completed CPD certificates, to stay up to date on how many clinical and ethics points you have earned.
