The South African Journal of Economic and Management Sciences (SAJEMS), published by AOSIS, is seeking an Assistant Editor with expertise in economics or any field aligned with the journal’s focus and scope to join its Editorial Team. International applicants are welcome.

An Assistant Editor plays a vital role in supporting the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors in maintaining the journal’s academic standards and editorial workflow. This position is ideal for scholars who are passionate about academic publishing and wish to contribute to the advancement of research in economic and management sciences.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Supporting the editorial process: Assist in managing manuscript submissions, coordinating peer reviews, and ensuring timely communication with authors and reviewers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors to evaluate manuscripts, select reviewers, and provide feedback to authors.
- Editorial Board participation: Contribute to discussions on journal policies, scope, and strategic direction.
Requirements:
Applicants with experience in any field covered by the journal are welcome. Prior editorial experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
